8 June 2015 – Schoups organised client seminar on “Doing dispute-wise business”

On Monday, 8 June 2015, the Schoups firm organised a client seminar on the subject of "Doing dispute-wise business".

Geert De Buyzer, a member of the Arbitration, Mediation & ADR practice group, gave a presentation about the advantages of having a proactive attitude towards dispute resolution. An overview was offered of a number of possible alternatives to judicial proceedings, which could lead to a faster, less expensive and more permanent settlement of a (potential) dispute. A number of important elements were also pointed out that must be considered when opting for arbitration. The nec plus ultra is to draft a custom-tailored dispute resolution clause, for which concrete tips were given.
